A Facebook-free Lent for me

I have decided to give up Facebook for Lent. And all the game apps on my iPhone. No, I am not 13… which is all the more reason for me to cut out the mindless techno time suck mechanisms that eat up way too large a portion of my day. Trivial? Perhaps. But hopefully not so much trivial as surprisingly mindful, in that I will (again, HOPEFULLY) be more present in my life and not always seeking some distraction. Which would be a very good thing, indeed.

Wait: I have this blog set up so that my posts here always show up on FB, too. (Shameless self-promotion.) Does that count? Hmm… OK, to clarify: I will not be logging into Facebook anytime from now until Easter (and hopefully maybe thereafter). But the blog posts will continue to appear, just because… well, just because.

See you on the other side, FB friends.
